WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

On behalf of our client located in Montreal, AlleyCorp Nord is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in developing innovative SaaS products that incorporate advanced data processing and artificial intelligence. Our client is an early stage start-up in the fintech space and have solid funding and a great culture and ambiance. The ideal candidate is a passionate individual that can rise up to the responsibility of designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that help organizations make data-driven decisions and automate processes.
You are located ideally in Montreal and willing to come to the office on a hybrid schedule. Proficiency in French or English and ideally a working level in the other.
We are looking for someone the client can delegate to and trust that they’ll do things well, hopefully even better than they would. Some degree of leadership would be nice as the organization is likely to grow underneath them. You do not they need managerial qualities per se.
You are someone who is ideally passionate, proactive, forward thinking and cares about doing things right.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Typescript, Python, Java, Go.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services. (Mainly AWS)
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with databases (Mainly SQL)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong knowledge of web architecture and best practices.

BONUS SKILLS

• Fintech knowledge
• Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Dev Ops
• MLOps

• Develop and maintain scalable and robust SaaS applications that integrate with various data sources and AI services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Design clean, performant and scalable back-end services.
• Build out and improve our cloud infrastructure.
• Implement machine learning models and algorithms to enhance product capabilities.
• Ensure the performance, quality and reliability of services.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols in the AI and data science field.
