LMI seeks an Acquisition Analyst to support a federal program management office within Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the National Capital Region. Responsibilities:

You will be instrumental in guiding the acquisition strategy with an eye toward agile contracting that streamlines awards for the latest technological advancements in border security products. You will apply modernized processes and practices aligned with emerging technologies for maximum agility and efficiency to accommodate dynamic requirements.

  • Support Program Acquisition Process utilizing DHS Acquisition Life Cycle guidelines and best practices
  • Support acquisition artifact development and review throughout the Acquisition Life Cycle
  • Assist in the written development of the Acquisition Plan
  • Utilize acquisition knowledge and experience in obtaining, integrating and reporting client data.
  • Develop and apply analytic methodologies and principles, including data mining, text analytics, business intelligence, modeling data, qualitative, quantitative, and data visualization, in support of ongoing initiatives.
  • Resolve complex problems which require in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.
  • Assist in analyzing acquisition data and formulate recommendations.
  • Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process, mapping, technical design and system testing and implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Analysts to support the mission

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience and a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, or related discipline OR a minimum of 9 years’ work experience in acquisition
  • DHS Acquisition background and understanding of DHS acquisition life cycle framework and system engineering life cycle desired
  • DAWIA or FAC acquisition/contracting certification desired
  • Experience supporting multi-functional technical teams for large, complex programs
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively solve problems
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred.
