WHAT THE POSITION IS:
We are looking for a one-year, maternity-leave coverage Acting Assistant Deputy Registrar, Professional Conduct to contribute to our fair, effective, and proactive operations by managing the Professional Conduct Unit, ensuring effective complaint management, risk management, and compliance oversight. This role focuses on implementing a risk management and harm reduction approach in all aspects of professional conduct oversight. The Acting Assistant Deputy Registrar, Professional Conduct will be responsible for recommending enforcement actions and providing expert guidance and recommendations on complaint file decisions to both the Deputy Registrar and Registrar.
A significant aspect of this role involves people management, where the Acting Assistant Deputy Registrar, Professional Conduct will lead a large team, ensuring that staff are motivated, guided, and supported in their roles. The Director will oversee the development and execution of transparent and effective complaint management and inspection processes, ensuring that these are carried out with the utmost integrity and efficiency.
The successful candidate will be deeply involved in managing the operations, ensuring that the team adheres to timelines, achieves performance objectives, and continuously improves processes based on consumer and stakeholder feedback. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire and lead by example, fostering a positive team spirit and a culture of excellence within the Professional Conduct department.
