WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR – REQUIREMENTS:

  • High standard of education and 3rd-level business qualification
  • Minimum 10 years experience in an FMCG Marketing function preferably within the Nicotine industry or similar restricted industries
  • At least 5 years experience in people management
  • Strong project management experience is essential, as is a high level of commercial awareness and business understanding
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritising and handling multiple tasks, whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Knowledge or understanding of E-commerce and Digital Marketing is advantageous
  • Excellent command in English
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office

Responsibilities:

WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE:

In this role, you will oversee the consumer & trade activation function. Leading a team of subject matter experts, you will be responsible for translating marketing strategy into impactful consumer & trade activation plans across all categories as well as online and offline channels.
Central to the deliverables in this role is a solid understanding of the marketing strategy and brand portfolio objectives, as well as an in-depth insight into market, consumer, trade and competitor dynamics.

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Translate the marketing strategy and brand portfolio objectives into relevant, actionable, long- and short-term consumer and trade activation plans, that clearly contribute to the achievement of the overall marketing strategy and objectives
  • Lead the annual planning process from the activation side, ensuring alignment with, and the support of, key stakeholders
  • Lead the Activation team ensuring clarity on priorities, responsibilities and purpose by prioritising, guiding and monitoring team activities contributing to A&SP and market objectives and commitments
  • Oversee the evolution of platforms and programs to ensure best-practice leadership within and beyond the tobacco and RRP categories
  • Assess competitor Conventional Tobacco Products & Reduced Risk Products market activities to ensure JTI strategies are competitive as well as relevant.
  • Design and implement tools to monitor and analyse program effectiveness, identifying clear KPIs and ROI/ROO targets in the process
  • Regularly review team effectiveness and contributions to the business; Identify team members’ professional development needs and performance on an ongoing basis
  • Plan and align annual Activation budget requirements with the Marketing Director and Finance in line with Annual &Strategic Planning timelines
