Description:
Our client, a global EPCM company, is seeking a dedicated individual experienced in Active Travel Design projects.
Role
The position involves working within our clients Active Travel Design team, contributing to a variety of active travel projects for their key clients. We are seeking an Active Travel Design Engineer with a background in designing Active Travel projects, preferably in Ireland.
As a Design Engineer within clients our Active Travel Design Team, you’ll collaborate with their team on projects for their clients. This is a hybrid role with a min of 3 days week in office.
Responsibilities
Providing technical support to senior staff across a range of project types and consultancy assignments.
Collaborating with the client team.
Attending Public Consultation Events.
Reviewing work prepared by other members of the technical team.
Supervising works conducted by sub-consultants and liaising with other specialists.
Contributing to the production of technical reports and designs in accordance with prevailing design standards and policies.
Developing designs for Active Travel schemes, cycling infrastructure, junctions, and pedestrian facilities.
Conducting site visits to gather necessary information and collect on-street asset data.
Assisting in the collection and analysis of survey data, such as pedestrian, cycling, public transport, and traffic surveys.
Ensuring all project files are up to date and comply with the Quality Assurance system, and assisting in the enhancement of procedures.
Collaborating with other staff on broader projects, supporting other disciplines to broaden skill sets and knowledge bases.
