THE ROLE

Are you looking for a role jammed full of interesting and diverse insights projects?
Working with the ACTU Insights unit will give you the opportunity to traverse the research and insights landscape with every project you work on. We undertake projects that span from membership growth/retention through to collecting views on workplace issues such as wage theft and gender equality. We also undertake research platform integrations and rollout, segmentation, and concept testing to name a few.
The role also contributes to strategic and executional insights to inform organisational strategy and campaign development and execution. The variety of projects can range from a few hours delivery through to a couple of months, with tracking studies also undertaken.
A key focus of the role is collaborating with and informing stakeholders across the organisation in areas such as digital marketing, product and software development, policy and industrial relations, education and training, media, and public affairs, and much more! You will also work closely with our affiliate unions on projects aimed to foster union membership growth and retention.
Your job is to design and effectively implement a broad range of marketing research and insights projects, analysing and synthesising data from various sources and reporting and presenting results in clear and informative ways that drive insights led decision-making. You will also be a key contributor to the Insights team strategic direction. Highly developed project management, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills are a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake all facets of research project management and delivery including design, implementation, analysis, reporting, presenting and budget management
  • Communicating insights and recommendations to various stakeholders to achieve a better understanding of findings, insights and areas of opportunity using highly developed data and analytical skills and data storytelling capabilities
  • Regularly prepare and deliver presentations and briefings to a variety of audiences across organisational layers both internally and externally.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues using your exceptional communication and prioritisation skills, to efficiently run multiple projects with sometimes competing priorities and short delivery timeframes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and research partners to build and support ongoing research insights, tools and training.
