Description:

OVERVIEW

Cigna’s Global Individual Health (GIH) business is a leader in providing international health insurance to expatriates and other globally mobile individuals. The Actuarial team plays a key role in this success, and they are now looking to recruit an Actuarial Analyst to join the team in Dubai during an exciting time of strategic change. This role reports directly into the Actuarial Manager for GIH and involves supporting fundamental risk analysis, pricing, and consultative actuarial responsibilities.
Candidate must have prior experience in an analytical role, preferably within the Health Insurance sector. They should a high level of financial acumen and be able to support projects that require extensive analysis, problem solving and documentation. Must have the ability to make effective decisions based on strong knowledge of all financial and risk implications, both internal and external. Strong written and verbal presentation skills is a must.

  • Proficient in R, Alteryx, Tableau, and other Microsoft suite programs is preferred
  • Exceptional team working skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A graduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial, Statistics, Engineering, or closely related field
  • Partially qualified actuary with ongoing exams preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years prior experience working in actuarial role preferred
  • A deep passion for analytics, technology, and price optimization, with proven experience
  • Continued pursuit of professional qualifications and continued development will be viewed favorably

Responsibilities:

  • Support required global actuarial deliverables, reporting, audits, and reviews
  • Analysis of portfolio and providing regular insights on key metrics to stakeholders
  • Support the Actuarial forecasting process on a quarterly basis
  • Help build necessary dashboards to support key strategic business decisions
  • Present regularly to wider business stakeholders using both visual and verbal updates
  • Be market aware; understand the competition, the environment and customer needs
