If you are passionate about science and engineering and you have an eye for detail and a desire to learn and grow then Sartorius is excited to offer a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Additive Manufacturing apprentice. The Technical Apprentice will be responsible for the successful completion of his/her apprenticeship in a fixed timeframe and to prepare for a future career in his/her field of expertise.
Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) is a growing and dynamic field of engineering technologies. It encompasses applications from initial prototypes through to full production. We at Sartorius are using these exciting technologies for a wide range of applications including the production of parts to the exacting requirements of the life science industries. Our Additive Manufacturing group is constantly engaged in tasks throughout the global business to ensure that the Sartorius group is able to fully realise the potential benefits for our customers.
Position: Technician Apprenticeship
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Duration: 3 Years
Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and efficiently utilise AM hardware and associated software.
  • Introduce, increase and utilise the AM knowledge that you will gain to help sartorius develop within the field.
  • Investigation into developments within the Additive Manufacturing technologies field.
  • Take advantage of the development opportunities offered by AM around the Sartorius group.
  • Industrialised design (and support) for Additively Manufactured parts from initial concept to release for production.
  • Process development and qualification for parts entering in-house AM production.
  • Support other teams around the group to implement and utilise AM technologies.
  • Materials research for the characterisation and qualification of AM materials.
  • Support the team in ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Engage in problem-solving activities related to Additive Manufacturing.
