Description:

Be part of the team that gets our military fully fit, ready to defend and protect Australia!
This is the adventure you’ve been waiting for! If you’re not already fortunate enough to be a Darwin local, we’re throwing in relocation assistance to get you here and return you home safely (if you choose!). Soak up the tropical vibe and explore our iconic N.T - consider it a working holiday OR as many of our team members have discovered, you may never want to leave. The choice is yours - we are offering a 12 month secondment or a permanent position.

Working as a Rehabilitation Consultant you, draw upon your clinical skills and support people throughout their rehab journey. Be rewarded with real tangible outcomes. A vital link helping our ADF achieve specific health goals to be able to return to service.

  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals;
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to facilitate a return to wellness plan;
  • Case management - Conducting assessments, implementing and monitoring rehabilitation plans.

Unlike most other Rehabilitation Consultant roles, KPI’s are based on service delivery outcomes, NOT billable hours. Genuine person-centred focus. Your rewards are truly meaningful and purposeful!
A unique opportunity, as Acumen is the only rehabilitation service provider to ADF personnel.
Set working hours means you can truly have WORK / LIFE balance – no overtime, no outside of work hours work. Enjoy early starts and early finishes: 7:30am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and enjoy a half day on Fridays, finish up at 1:30pm. You will be working on the ADF Base, Tindal.
If you prefer something with a little more flexibility and variety, we have roles where you can enjoy a combination of work from home, office and the ADF base of Tindal. You will also be working across a more diverse range of clients.
Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be SUPPORTED and MENTORED through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise setting you up for success. Experts in workplace health, injury management and safety, Acumen (part of the APM Group) delivers the highest standard in services across personal injury and occupational health. The team at Acumen focus on recovery and function to get clients back to work and back to life whatever their age, stage or situation.
