Job Description
The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking Adjunct Faculty to join our highly evolved and uniquely conceptualized graduate Expressive Therapies department for Fall 2024. We are seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach the following course:
GEXTH-6102 Professional Ethics; Fall 1 24, fully remote
The focus of this course is on the theory and practice of professional standards and ethics as applied to clinical mental health counseling practices and advocacy. The ethical standards of the professional associations are addressed, including counseling and expressive therapies specializations. Certification, licensure, regulatory practices, and legal considerations are examined. This virtual course meets one-hour weekly via Zoom.
Qualifications and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

  • A master’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following expressive therapies modalities: expressive arts therapy, dance movement therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, or art therapy
  • A clinical license in their state or licensure eligibility with a commitment to gaining licensure within the year
  • The equivalent of 3 years of work experience applying their masters training in the field post-graduation
