Responsibilities:

Mill Road Surgery is looking to appoint an experienced admin manager for 30 hours per week, over 4 days 08:00-16:00, working days to be confirmed.
The admin manager’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of all administrative processes within the practice. This includes overseeing a team with various responsibilities.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Registrations and GP links;
  • Referral management;
  • Clinical correspondence management;
  • Managing non-NHS work such as medical reports;
  • Medical record management;
  • Clinical coding and medical summarising
  • Co-ordinating the operational delivery of the services in the practice, engaging with staff, patients and local commissioners;
  • Effectively managing all staff;
  • Co-ordinating and leading the operational delivery of the services in the practice, engaging with staff, patients and local commissioners.

The successful candidate will actively support, mentor, train and develop their team members. It is expected that the admin manager will regularly check in with the team, provide 1-to-1s, and support them as their direct report.

The successful candidate will report directly to the practice manager, and will work with the management & coordination team on the following:

  • QOF & Enhanced Services;
  • Complaints management;
  • Internal IT support (troubleshooting PC, printer, smartcard issues);
  • Performing searches/reports, build/modify protocols on SystmOne.
