Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Vascular Services for a professional Admin Support Coordinator to join our friendly and dynamic team. Helping to provide a high quality and efficient admin service to our clinical teams.
The role will be in support of the Admin Coordinators, providing designated inpatient and outpatient activity efficiently and effectively, in line with both national and local standards, and ensuring the workload is managed in a timely and accurate manner.

Use appropriate booking processes to facilitate the management of Access Plans including adding, removing and appointing patients to and from the appropriate lists.
Liaise directly with the management team, clinicians and the clerical team to ensure that all appropriate appointments are actioned.
Order and maintain stationary levels within the department.
Checking patient discharge summaries and actioning as appropriate.
Dealing with telephone queries from patients, relatives, colleagues, GP’s and other internal services.
Managing and sending referrals for grading and ensuring appropriate appointment is arranged.
Requesting notes for admissions, prepping and distributing.
Support and maintain patients through their clinical pathway (i.e., chasing investigations in a timely fashion), ensuring accurate recording of the patient’s 18-week pathway status at every juncture on the hospital Lorenzo (electronic database) systems.
To Support the Coordinator when required in contacting patients, relatives, carers, GPs, Consultants (internal and external), medical staff (internal and external) community staff (including nursing), nursing staff, administrative staff, other health related bodies such as DVLC and Social Security, Housing Department and Pharmaceutical companies, on behalf of the consultants.
Supporting with MDT duties.
