Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the District Nurse Administration Team, and we’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our welcoming team as Administration Support Officers. The successful candidates will be based in Eastbourne St Mary’s House (cross site working at Hailsham and Seaford).
We are looking for candidates who possess a strong willingness to learn, relish challenges, and exhibit the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Candidates who are committed to improving patient services, with excellent communication skills, in a dynamic and bustling environment.
You’ll work alongside colleagues, making sure the District nursing visits and appointments flow smoothly, while helping maintain an efficient and effective administration service.
You will be employed within the broader scope, which encompasses District Nursing, Bladder & Bowel, and the Frailty Service.
Please note that our service operates seven days a week (Including Bank Holidays), and weekend work on a rotating basis is part of the role. There may also be cross-site work, so being a car user is necessary.
The core service hours are from 08:00 to 18:00.
30 hours - 37.5 hours considered.

We’re in search of someone who can thrive in a busy office setting. The role involves a variety of tasks:

  • Inputting patient referrals into our electronic patient record system (SystmOne)
  • Answering phone calls
  • Organising patient information packets
  • Making outgoing calls to update patients on their District Nurse visits
  • Managing the sickness phone for the service
  • Onboarding for new starters (getting systems in place, uniform and equipment)

If you have the ambition, skills, and commitment, we’re here to offer you the encouragement and chances to help you reach your career aspirations. Every member of our team is highly valued and given the support they need, as each one plays a crucial part in our success.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • A true passion to work in Community Care
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • A flexible approach
  • A willingness to learn
  • Commitment to your own development
