Description:

Mantra Trilogy is located on the bustling Cairns Esplanade and a stone’s throw from the shores of the Coral Sea. The property hosts 225 rooms comprising of hotel, one, two and three bedroom apartments spread over three towers. The location boasts a tropical lifestyle where in your downtime you can explore the Great Barrier Reef, enjoy the cafés and restaurants along the esplanade, experience Cape Tribulation and enjoy local markets.
Purpose
As the Administration & Accounts Assistant, you will be an organised professional with excellent communication skills and a strong aptitude for numbers. Contribute to the efficient and accurate financial management of Mantra Trilogy, ensuring that financial records are maintained, transactions are properly documented, and financial reporting is timely and accurate.

The Role

  • Background in Finance is not essential
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to accommodate lifestyle needs
  • Hourly rate of $28.80 per hour + Super and Accor team member benefits
  • Role is based at Mantra Trilogy in the heart of Cairns, with the potential for flexible working arrangements following completion of a successful induction period
  • You will be working in a small team within a highly supportive environment

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and handle bank transfers
  • Assist with banking administration tasks efficiently, including the timely issuance of monthly invoices
  • Monitor outstanding debt, ensuring the timely payments of invoices
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with the operations and finance teams to ensure the continuity of timely processed data
  • Prepare end-of-month accrual processes, join the P&L review team, and reconcile balance sheets with a keen eye
  • Uphold rigorous adherence to established financial procedures, safeguard the confidentiality of processed information, and contribute to a seamless financial operation
  • Assist the team with Adhoc requests

Skills and Experience

  • Current experience as a Hotel Guest Service Agent, Night Auditor or Manager will provide you with transferable skills that are well-suited for this role
  • Highly organised with a key eye for detail and numbers
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft office with the knowledge of SIHOT desirable
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Shows proactive tendencies by delivering timely information to the Finance Manager
