Description:

CNTW Inpatient Services at Carleton Clinic, Oakwood Ward, Carlisle, Cumbria are looking to recruit a full time Administration Assistant based on the Oakwood Ward Reception, to work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Oakwood is an acute mental health inpatient unit based at the Carleton Clinic in Carlisle. Oakwood has 12 beds and offers a full range of investigative and treatment options, which are tailored to meet the individual needs of the patient.
The post holder will work on reception as the first point of contact and will provide admin support to the clinical team and throughout the service as in agreement with the Admin Manager.

37.5hours per week

The purpose of this role is to provide front-facing duties, providing the main point of contact for visitors to the ward. A high-level of customer care skills both face-to-face and over the telephone are crucial to the success of this role. This front-end service is fast paced so the appointed candidate must be willing to work under pressure.
The post holder will be supported and trained by experienced administrative staff and work closely with the Ward Manager.
The post holder will report directly to the Administration Manager, but will work closely with the wider administrative team in ensuring the day-to-day deliverables are met.
You will work alongside an experienced Admin Assistant, Admin Officer and Medical Secretaries to learn the role and the post holder should have:
Experience of providing reception duties
Experience of call handling in a busy environment - It is critical that excellent customer service is delivered in person or over the telephone
Good organisational skills
Be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload
Proven experience of working with Microsoft packages
A working knowledge of electronic record systems
Diary management skills
Electronic minute taking skills
Be able to provide cover on other wards within the CBU
Ability to meet the mobility requirements for this role as outlined in the job description.
Desirable: A current driving license and access to a car
The post holder will work as part of a team of administrators and will work closely with a range of clinical staff from the service.
