Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the administration team at Whitby hospital. The successful application will be part of the administration team providing comprehensive reception/ administrative services for the hospital including the Urgent Treatment Centre which is open 7 days a week, 8.00 - 18.00 (including Bank Holidays).
This is a part-time vacancy, 28.5hrs per week, working 3 days a week on a two week rotation (Monday, Saturday and Sunday / Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and will include Bank Holiday working as rostered.
You will be the first point of contact for patients attending Whitby hospital for various services throughout the hospital, including the Urgent Treatment Centre.
The successful applicant will require excellent customer services skills dealing with the general public both face to face and by telephone. Good team working skills will be a necessity working with colleagues on the busy hospital reception.
To provide receptionist duties for Whitby hospital including Whitby Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and other outpatient clinics provided by the Trust, dealing with enquiries from service users and outside agencies and directing service users to various departments. Good customer service skills and team working are essential to the role.
To work within clinical services managing incoming referrals, appointments and enquiries for the various services that make up Whitby Community Services.
To input known clinical and demographic data into a central computerised system.
To contribute to the delivery of a quality service and the maintenance of quality standards.
To undertake various administration duties including scanning, filing, data entry, photocopying, franking of post, etc.
To contribute to the planning and development of the service as a member of the team.

To provide a comprehensive administrative / reception service to Whitby hospital, including the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and other services within the hospital. The UTC reception is open 7 days per week 8.00- 18.00 including Bank Holidays.
Working as part of the admin reception team at Whitby hospital the post holder will be required to process patients for UTC into the Trust’s clinical computer system, arrive patients for outpatient clinics, deal with the general public and outside agencies via telephone and face to face
