Position Description - Junior School
Trinity Grammar School is looking for our Administration Officer - Junior School to support the operational aspects including managing reception, student services, purchasing and office supplies, event coordination and other related activities.
This (full-time) role offers a great mix of routine tasks with the adhoc. If you are excited by role that has you calmly managing priorities such as answering calls from parents, helping staff or simply comforting a distressed student all within a short space of time, then this may be the next opportunity for you. Working as a integral part of a small team, within a large and complex organisation, the opportunities to gain experience and develop your talents are virtually endless. In this role you will be busy coordinating student-related activities and correspondence for the School, including parent communications, event support, as well as the usual day-to-day problem solving and administration. This role provides a great opportunity for the highly organised candidate who can manage multiple tasks and think on your feet whilst maintaining a friendly disposition. Whilst experience in a similar role would be advantageous, we are looking for the right balance of personality and experience to fit comfortably in our team.
Your efficiency, likeable personality and strong interpersonal skills will help you to build important connections with students, colleagues, and parents. In this role you will be front of house for the Junior School, working closely with other areas of the School to help us build and enhance our strong connections with the students in our care and the wider Trinity community.
If you love working with people of all ages, especially with young children, and you have experience in using multiple administration platforms or are keen to learn, we would love to hear from you.
In return for your commitment and enthusiasm we offer generous salary and conditions including a strong emphasis on building a supportive and inclusive community and a focus on developing your wellbeing through Mind, Body and Spirit. We offer professional growth and training opportunities, personal fitness and training as well as plenty of opportunities to get involved in a range of co-curricular programs with students and colleagues.
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, working 44 weeks of the typical 48 work weeks per year. On occasion there are also out of hours functions we ideally would love you to be in attendance for. The office is located at our Summer Hill campus, with plenty of parking available, and access to a wide range of public transport in close proximity to the campus. We can offer the occasional change of scenery however for the most part, you will be working on-site .
Trinity is a Christian organisation and all staff at Trinity Grammar School are expected to contribute positively to the Christian ethos, be flexible, enthusiastic, competent and dynamic team members, who actively engage in the daily life of the school. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experience who can contribute to our culture and community.
The position is available for an immediate start, however we are willing to negotiate with the right candidate. Salary range offered is $67,000- 76,000 p.a (dependent on agreed working weeks, experience, knowledge, skills and attributes of the successful candidate)
If this sounds like your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you. We are keen to recruit to this role, so applications will be closing 4pm Friday 12 April 2024.
