Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Parks and Environment Manager within our Parks team, your responsibilities would primarily include:

  • Under general direction, provide administrative support and assistance to the Parks and Environment Manager and wider Unit as required, including but not limited to word processessing, routine correspondence, reports, presentation preparation and managing spreadsheets.
  • Day-to-day management and distribution of Parks and Environment teams’ correspondence and internal mail in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Contribute as a team member towards achieving best practice in the smooth, efficient and responsive delivery of all administrative support functions, document management and projects.
  • Respond to both internal and external enquiries in a timely and efficient manner that adheres to the City’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience in researching issues, organising information and generating correspondence or reports with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Basic knowledge of financial processes, such as raising purchase orders and;
  • Have sound organisational skills and judgement, which enable an ability to meet deadlines despite competing priorities
