Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join VolkerRail Specialist Businesses working in the Power team in Doncaster.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
This role will involve:
- Undertake general office administration duties (ordering stationary, supplies, materials etc)
- Support document control within Power (using A Site, Workspace, eB etc training to be provided)
- Support the Management team and project team and provide an efficient and effective general administrative and secretarial support service. To include minute taking and distribution.
- Provide a consistent telephone presence on behalf of the team delivering excellent customer service levels.
- Provide communications to the team, including sending messages as required.
- Support the resource team with general administration with rostering and van allocation
- Arrange travel, hotels and vehicles, booking meeting rooms, and order and control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team.
- Collate timesheets, vehicle inspections & process for commercial/engineering teams.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role.
The candidate will also ideally have the following Experience/skill set:
- Previous experience in a high volume administration role.
- Experience of producing work for a team of people juggling competing priorities
- Excellent communication, literacy skills.
- Proficient in MS office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Flexible/proactive – can do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational skills, a positive friendly telephone manner and good interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload.
