Description:
The purpose of this job is to primarily provide the Locality District Nursing team with high quality administrative support, ensuring all communication, documentation and information relating to the function of the team will be collected and disseminated appropriately. You will be primarily supporting the District Nursing team to deliver a proactive service to support patients on their caseload.
- To provide a comprehensive administrative service for the District Nurses.
To support Locality District Nurses in the delivery of their service, this includes, answering calls, updating EMIS with relevant information, uploading referrals onto EMIS and forwarding referrals as directed by the District Nurses
Provide an administrative and note taking service for team meetings within the department as required.
To manage and support the District Nurses with workflow, caseloads and preparing notes for storage.
To manage all referrals into the teams proactively and in a timely manner, uploading to EMIS and alerting urgent referrals to the appropriate nurse as necessary.
To comment on and be involved in the development of department administrative policies or working practices as required.
- Maintain good working relationships with all areas in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service to patients communicating with colleagues at all levels.
- To communicate effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
