About the role

This role provides administration and systems support to the Prison Mental Health Service to facilitate service delivery within the West Moreton Health Service.

  • Complete general administration duties including word-processing, data entry, spreadsheeting etc.
  • Maintain a high level of data integrity in patient information systems; recognising decision making in clinical and management settings depends on accurate, timely, relevant, complete, concise, and readily accessible
  • Work as a committed, flexible, and effective team member with a willingness to assist in the fulfilment of the required duties of other administrative officers in any absences.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated high standard of administrative support, high level of word processing skills and knowledge of Microsoft software applications to produce effective work output in terms of both quality and quantity.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal written and oral communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of the private and public sectors on a range of confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Maintain a high level of data integrity in patient information systems; recognising decision making in clinical and management settings depends on accurate, timely, relevant, complete, concise, and readily accessible information.
  • Ability to work autonomously and utilise discretion in the absence of decision makers, skills to resolve conflict, meet deadlines, establish work priorities, organise meetings and appointments, exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work autonomously in a self-directed manner.
  • Sound communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively with all levels of staff, patients, and the general public.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
