About the role
Casual opportunity.
The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively as a member of Patient Flow Services’ administration team in providing quality administrative support and cover for planned and emergent leave. This role relieves in a variety of administrative settings such as secretarial, patient reception services, and administrative support. This role may be a non-frontline position or frontline position that is very fast paced with high volume of work.
This role will require flexible availability as shifts are allocated on an ad hoc basis to fill roster shortfalls. Opportunities for temporary contracts are available to address mid- or long-term shortfalls. Appropriate training is provided for each role prior to commencing shifts.
About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:

  • Work independently, utilising discretion in the absence of decision makers in completing tasks, meeting deadlines and establishing work priorities.
  • Provide assistance to other staff within the team to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met.
  • Operate to a high degree across all roles whilst maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the Patient Flow Services and other members of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to provide administrative support at short notice for emergent leave.
  • Provide reliable and efficient administrative support across the service line as rostered by the management team of Patient Flow Services.
