Responsibilities:
- Assist all staff in the work area and develop a highly compatible and supportive working team, whilst demonstrating effective communication skills, empathy, and understanding in a patient-focused environment.
- Maintain electronic patient records in Communicare (RIVeR) and Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), including the creation of new and the update of existing registrations daily.
- Manage sessions as requested by clinical staff which includes creating, cancelling, and closing of appointments.
- Answer queries and provide accurate information to patients, visitors, and staff accessing the unit in relation to Queensland Health policy and procedures.
- Provide general administrative support including ordering of stationery, answering phone enquiries, photocopying, filing, faxing, and minute-taking as required, to enable health professional and medical staff to meet their objectives and deliver services to patients and colleagues.
