Description:
You’re role at St John of God Burwood Hospital
We are seeking applications for an Administration Officer to join our Medical Records team at Burwood, on a permanent full-time basis.
The role of Administration Officer is to provide clerical and administrative support to Medical Record services and key functional areas at SJOGHC, such as Clinical, Administrative, Patient Services and other authorised persons in a manner consistent with the philosophy, mission and values of St John of God Healthcare.
The Position
- Ensure all loose sheet filing, i.e. pathology results, radiology results etc are filed in a prompt and efficient manner as part of the medical record maintenance.
- Responsible for accurate and reliable tracking of the medical record file both within the department and throughout SJOGHC campus.
- Assist with the culling of medical records from active main file to secondary storage area for archiving in accordance with SJOGHC NSW retention policies and procedures.
- Photocopying medical records in response to medico-legal requirements as requested by CEO/DON and SJOGHC Legal Department.
- Assist in the collection, sorting and distribution of all incoming mail and ensure that all outgoing mail is properly addresses and delivered.
Successful applicants will have proficient computer skills including word processing and data entry. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with patients, staff and general public. Medical records or health care experience will be highly regarded.

- Salary: $64,802 to $66,170 + 11% Superannuation
- Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week
