Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Veolia is seeking a detail-oriented Administration Officer to join our Industrial Services team in Brooklyn. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting administration duties, including processing invoices, managing purchase orders, assisting with payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment
- Manage purchase order requests, track orders, and maintain vendor relationships
- Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, time tracking, and record-keeping
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, human resources related matters, training, and maintenance data support
- Utilise SAP and other accounting software to manage financial data and generate reports
- Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team, including filing, data entry, and document management
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as audits and reconciliations
