ABOUT THE ROLE

Administration Services has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Administration Team Leader, Emergency Department with a passion for Leadership to work within Mater Public Hospital. This will be a permanent full time opportunity.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Coach, develop and supervise team members. Develop individuals to deliver high-quality outputs using contemporary management approaches
  • Continual enhancement of service performance, processes, and practices to achieve high work standards by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities
  • Effective workforce management of service provision to meet business requirements and manage resources
  • Devise strategies and operational plans with your Manager and stakeholders to achieve work group outcomes
  • Effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and all levels of staff to resolve issues, deal with complaints, and manage changes to improve the patient experience
  • Build trusted relationships and effective working partnerships with internal stakeholders
  • Assist with coverage within the Team Leader group – including leave cover and day to day assistance

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience with delivering operational administration, preferably in a complex health setting
  • Experience managing staff, preferably within an Emergency Department environment where the staff work a 24 hour period
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team, inspiring a team to deliver exceptional services, and ensuring the team achieves all tasks within timeframes and requirements, especially with staff that you may see infrequently due to the nature of the 24-hour environment
  • Proven experience with continuous improvement of processes and procedures and managing improvement opportunities with a range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • High level office management and information systems skills, specifically MS Office and network information systems, and an ability to rapidly acquire advanced proficiency in such systems
  • High level problem solving skill
