BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) AND two (2) years of secretarial experience;
- OR a two (2) year Community College Secretarial Program AND one (1) year of secretarial experience;
- OR a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline AND one (1) year of secretarial experience
- Successful completion of TOH medical terminology self-directed learning program;
- OR certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution;
- Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication, proofreading and editing skills;
- Tact, judgment, and initiative;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proficiency in use of automated office equipment;
- Excellent knowledge of general office procedures;
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures;
- Experience using Healthcare Information Systems such as EPIC;
- Knowledge of Iprocurement and Iexpense softwares;
- Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
