THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant in the High School Academic Office. This is a maximum term position until the end of the 2024 academic year, offered on a full-time basis during school terms.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative setting with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practice the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality in handling information within the Academic Office.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage concurrent projects, and track tasks until completion.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly in Office 365 (Word and Excel), with database management skills preferred.
  • Initiative-taking attitude and ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Personal Learning Plan meetings with the Heads of Year, parents, and other staff as required.
  • Support the Heads of Year, Wellbeing, and Academic teams in their daily tasks.
  • Assist with the organization of student events, including school camps.
  • Provide assistance to students with queries, including lockers and lost property management.
  • Maintain and update student records, collaborating with Primary School staff for the transition of Year 6 students.
  • Perform other related ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
