JOB SUMMARY

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree, and one to three years related experience, or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provides routine administrative support to a department or group of professionals in support of unit goals.

  • Perform clerical duties to include typing, filing, copying, maintaining forms, scheduling appointments, answering the main office phone, and responding to questions.
  • Handles logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and department operations.
  • Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures.
  • Tracks, stocks, inventories, and orders office supplies under direct supervision to ensure adequate materials are available for workplace operation.
  • Serves as an occasional point of contact for individuals and groups providing basic organizational information.
  • Provides front desk coverage.
  • Assists with monthly procurement card reconciliation and accompanying documentation.
  • Supports a professional office environment of efficiency and customer service.
  • Provides administrative support to student affairs-based committees including taking minutes and maintaining budgets.
  • Maintains confidential materials associated with student records.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with computers and database programs; PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
