Description:
The Opportunity:
The College of Sciences (COS) seeks an Administrative Assistant II professional to provide administrative support and assistance to the Office of the Dean, Advancement, Academic Services, Marketing and Communications, and the COS Business Center. They will perform administrative and clerical functions including answering phones, greeting/referring/assisting visitors, staff, or others, preparing documents and reports, compiling records, scheduling meetings, organizing, and maintaining information, coordinating calendars, and providing high-level administrative assistance to executives.
Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the office; overseeing the main office operations and front desk staff including training, scheduling coverage, tracking hours, evaluating work performance, and hiring.
- Answering phones and e-mails, greeting visitors, maintaining office supplies, providing support for meeting set-up, drafting business correspondence, coordinating calendars, assisting with general office support and data entry, and other tasks as requested.
- Receiving and processing a variety of requests, forms, and awards following established UCF and COS regulations and procedures and with a low error rate.
- Provide support to the COS business centers (BC) by monitoring and assigning daily Workday cases and e-mails to the appropriate place or person.
- Maintain the COS business center website.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in higher education preferred
