Description:

A vacancy has arisen in the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Education and Development Teams for an administrative assistant to provide a general clerical and administrative service in support to the multiple teams and professionals within the service.
The post holder will use a range of communication skills, including written and oral skills. They will be in contact with visitors including staff from other organisations and members of the public.
Communicate information to staff, managers and other professionals.
Efficiently manage team inboxes daily and demonstrate effective escalation according to the defined organisational and team processes.
Use of ESR and ARC systems to effectively administrate and record education delivered by the service.
Work seamlessly within the larger team to support with events, recruitment and education to deliver a high-quality service to internal and external staff.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.   • To provide a general reception, clerical and administrative service in support to the Practice Education Team and Practice Development Team.
  • Works as a member of the team contributing to the smooth running of both teams by efficiently providing an effective clerical support service. Works within a clear framework of delegated tasks but without continuous supervision.
