Description:

Applications are invited for an appointment as Project Manager (1.0 FTE, circa 3 years, Grade 5) with the Active Consent programme at the University of Galway.
This post is being offered as a specific purpose contract and will terminate by reason of the expiry of its specific purpose.¿ It is anticipated that the duration of this assignment will be circa 3 years.¿
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the administration and management of the Active Consent programme. The post holder will support the Principal Investigator and team leads in the performance of their roles through coordination, operational planning and contribution to strategy development, performance monitoring, policy development and implementation, financial control and governance.
The Project Manager will support and advise the PI, programme Leads and Active* Consent team, as well as working closely with a range of stakeholders nationally and internationally. Excellent decision making in a complex work environment, relationship management, and organisational skills are essential for this role.

Salary: €57,931 to €78,536 (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011) and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the University’s Remuneration policy.
This appointment will be made on the Grade 5 scale in line with current Government pay policy.
