Description:
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit industry, based in Covington, Kentucky. This role primarily supports the grant process and demands high attention to detail in handling the grant process. The assistant will need to have a good command of Excel and Outlook and will be working part-time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the grant process to secure timely deadlines
- Utilize Excel and Outlook for various administrative tasks
- Provide customer service by answering inbound calls and handling email correspondence
- Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Schedule appointments as necessary
- Contribute to the writing and editing of grant proposals
- Maintain and manage records in Microsoft Word
- Ensure all tasks are completed within the given time frame
- Collaborate with team members and external partners to facilitate the grant process
- Regularly update skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and grant writing.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Proficient in email correspondence and managing professional communication
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars effectively
- Experience in grant writing, preferably in a non-profit setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably within the non-profit sector
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
