ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a dynamic person who demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of the Aboriginal community, and has strong communication skills to effectively interact with both visitors and staff from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are important qualities for this role. Previous experience in administrative support roles, and a willingness to learn and adapt to the unique environment of Gwoonwardu Mia would also be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

The role provides administrative and secretarial support to the Regional Manager and the Operations Manager and staff at the Gwoonwardu Mia Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre, Carnarvon. This includes basic financial and Human Resource administrative processing, diary coordination, and records management.
This position is also responsible for assisting with the coordination of bookings and promotion of the Centre’s conference rooms and performance spaces for hire. The role assists the Operations Manager to ensure that the venues operate compliantly with regards to Health, Safety and statutory regulations, and that internal policies and procedures are always followed and adhered to.
