We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join Western Power and support both our Strategy & Sustainability and Distribution Energy Transition functions on a permanent full- time basis at our Perth Office.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Completed Year 12 (or equivalent) with English and Mathematics and at least 3-5 years demonstrated administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management.
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
  • Understanding of administrative functions and office practices.
  • Able to deliver high quality, professional, customer focused administrative services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organised with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of administrative and office support services to facilitate the timely, efficient, and effective operation within the Strategy and Sustainability and Distribution Energy Transition functions including:

  • Provide confidential administrative services in a timely and effective manner.
  • Liaise with relevant business units across the organisation to ensure efficient running of the Function.
  • Provide timely diary management support to two Head of Functions to support their delivery of business objectives.
  • Plan and organise meetings and functions.
  • Coordinate and arrange travel bookings for employees to achieve maximum cost efficiencies.
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of projects through provision of administrative activities.
  • Maintain suitable levels of stationery, IT equipment, etc. as required.
  • Act as Functional Records Officer and maintain accuracy of filing systems including appropriate archiving.
  • Coordinate and maintain central database of employee activity including training schedules, absence records etc.
  • Financial management including raising purchase orders & payment of invoices, credit card reconciliations and petty cash and ensuring relevant cost codes are utilised.
  • Produce reports, correspondence, presentations, spreadsheets in a timely and accurate manner, as required.
  • Provide effective support in the preparation of cyclical and other business reporting requirements.
  • Manage and maintain Calendar(s) ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
