This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm in Blanch, NC (Caswell County) a minimum custody male facility and reports directly to the Associate Warden of Programs and Custody. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative, clerical, and office support duties which consist of the following but not limited to:

  • Provide excellent communication skills
  • Perform clerical duties using a personal computer, and various computer software (MS Work, Excel, Outlook)
  • Operate various office equipment
  • Demonstrate flexibility when non-routine tasks are assigned
  • Receive, distribute department mail; typing department standard operating procedures
  • Work environment will result in some contact with offenders, prison policy and procedures must always be followed

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits with established working hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and may require working beyond normal work schedule to meet business need.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
