POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Coordinator, Indigenous Health will partner with SickKids as we embark on strategic work to better support Indigenous patients, caregivers, and staff. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Indigenous Health Program and EDI Office. Reporting to the Executive Lead- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), the Administrative Coordinator will work collaboratively with the SickKids EDI Office and Indigenous Health Advisory Council (IHAC).

Responsibilities:

  • Addresses internal/external client inquiries and requests and other duties as requested.
  • Plan and arrange meeting and training rooms, catering, audio/visual and equipment services for meetings, training sessions and special events (i.e. Indigenous days of significance recognition and IHAC meetings).
  • Nurture relations and partnerships with Indigenous Health Advisory Council, Indigenous communities, and internal SickKids community.
  • Support Indigenous Health Advisory Council activities including tracking partners’ hours and providing payments.
  • Proactively collect agenda items, establish agendas, assemble materials for distribution, and prepare minute templates and minutes accordingly.
  • Work individually and in collaboration to prepare documents, including letters, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and educational material.
  • Creating posters, presentations, and program materials.
  • Update content on Program/Department websites/SharePoint.
