Description:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University in a related field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of progressive professional experience
  • Superior written and oral communications skills in English
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Project coordination, time management and priorities management skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills plus a teamwork and dedicated customer service approach
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally with all levels and in an academic environment
  • Organized work habits, consistent accuracy, and attentiveness to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information and documents
  • Experience with the Google Suite of programs (including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) and/or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva
  • Flexibility to adapt to organizational needs in collaboration with counterparts at New York University in New York and New York University in Shanghai
  • Knowledge of academic processes and procedures in a university setting
  • Arabic language skills

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • The Administrative Coordinator develops and coordinates logistics for ARC events such as the Academic Majors Fair and ARC Open house and works with all required offices including Finance, Procurement and Events. In addition, the role handles all day -to-day administrative tasks including ordering supplies and booking meeting rooms. The Administrative Coordinator creates social media content such as Instagram posts and flyers and markets ARC events and announcements online including on the student portal and intranet. In addition, the incumbent coordinates all aspects of student staff hiring including posting roles, organizing interviews, hiring and managing student hours. The role will oversee student staff and training. The Administrative Coordinator also helps in managing the ARC budget including updating budget spreadsheets, reconciling purchases, keeping track of all receipts and handling reimbursements on Concur

Front line Advising

  • The Administrative Coordinator covers the front desk, handles all front line walk in questions and via the email alias. The role also oversees student staff and ensures coverage for front desk and day to day operations including creating and developing required student resources. The incumbent also staffs the NYUAD Service Center and liaises and works with all relevant offices including the Registrar’s Office, Office of Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs division. This role also helps in the development and delivery of student staff led workshops

Program Coordination

  • The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Peer Tutoring Program including hiring student staff, creating and conducting training, scheduling sessions booking rooms, marketing, attending monthly meetings and answering questions. This role also coordinates all proctoring services through the ARC including liaising with global sites, contacting students, and proctoring
