ABOUT THE NEONATAL ICU DEPARTMENT:

We’re seeking a registered nurse to join our neonatal intensive care unit. Your role involves providing specialized care to newborn infants who are born premature, have medical complications, or require close monitoring due to various health issues. We pride ourselves on our compassion, expertise, and dedication to providing specialized care to our most fragile patient in the healthcare system.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in accredited nursing school required.
• Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
• 1 Year experience in acute care required.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

• Coordinates and communicates patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the health care team.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of nursing care with the patient and family that will address the patient’s and family’s identified needs and concerns.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
• Implements and evaluates the patient’s response to care through assessment and reassessment and updates the plan of care.
• Ensures the patients are admitted, transferred and discharged in a timely and efficient manner.
• Documents assessments, delivery of care and patient’s response to care in the medical record.
