Responsibilities:

Summary of the role: We are currently seeking a friendly, customer focussed Admin Officer to join our Patient Services Team in the combined roles of Cashier and Main Reception at Mercy Hospital for Women located in Heidelberg, Vic. You will be working in a customer centric environment with a friendly and supportive team.

  • Part Time Fixed Term - 31 May to 23 October 2024 (training to commence from 6 May)
  • 6 shifts per fortnight:
  • Main Reception - 3 shifts per fortnight Friday, Saturday & Sunday 1500-2100:
  • Engage with patients, visitors and colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner
  • Calling Emergency Codes / Paging Doctors
  • Answering / transferring calls
  • Attending to daily incoming / outgoing mail
  • General admin tasks supporting Patient Services.
  • Cashiers Office - 3 shifts per fortnight Mon, Tuesday & Wednesday, 0830-1700:
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate receipting, reconciliation and allocation of monies received across multiple systems with professionalism and accuracy
  • Distribute student and parent swipe access cards
  • Acute Care Certificates
  • Establish patient payment plans
  • Petty Cash / Banking
  • Contacting patients and taking payment for excesses, bed fees, co-payments
  • To provide support to other team members and actively participate in key activities of Mercy Hospital for Women
  • Provide a high level of customer service
