Responsibilities:

Summary of the role: Our supportive Gynaecology Department are seeking two friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic Administrative Officer’s to assist with their growing team, including managing, processing and reading referrals. You will be working closely with our clinical team to ensure patient care is met at the highest of standards. You will be required to have good attention to detail with the ability to adapt to competing priorities and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.

  • Located in the Outpatients Department at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg
  • x2 Permanent Part Time positions, each position 38hrs per fortnight - Hours 10am to 6pm:
  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Wed (Position 1) and Thu, Fri (Position 2)
  • Week 2: Mon, Tue, Fri (Position 2) and Wed, Thu (Position 1)
  • Waitlisting and validating patient referrals, prepare patient schedules, booking and rescheduling appointments and clinics, and following up on patient results, and generate patient medical certificates.
  • Diary management of Clinician’s planned and unplanned leave
  • Greeting and assisting patients, answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries.
