Description:

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking an Administrative Practice Assistant to support the Employee Benefits practice group. Reporting to the Administrative Support Manager, the Administrative Practice Assistant will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support to our firm’s practice groups in an environment where superior client service is emphasized and practiced.
This position will reside in the Washington office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintaining case and client files.
  • Processing new business intake and related forms.
  • Time entry, answering phones and taking messages, scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings; arranging audio and video conferences.
  • Processing expense reports, check requests, scanning, copying, word processing, and coordinating incoming/outgoing mail, faxes and emails.
  • Arranging travel and preparing travel itineraries.
  • Providing case support and project assistance.
  • Developing and maintaining a system/process for tracking matters that require future attention.
  • Performing other relevant duties as directed.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Minimum high school diploma required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strongly preferred prior experience as a legal secretary and/or administrative assistant, preferably at a law firm or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Word skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and produce a high-quality work product to meet deadlines and perform job responsibilities under pressure efficiently, productively and in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work overtime is required.
