Description:

REQUIREMENTS AND RELEVANT INFORMATION:

  • One (1) full time, fixed term position available for six months.
  • Position is located at the Criminal Investigation Unit-Darebin, Preston Police Complex, 51-59 Roseberry Avenue, Preston, Vic. While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or Visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to members at the Criminal Investigations Branch - Darebin, North-West Metro Region, Division 5.
Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and support flexible working arrangements.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide general office support duties including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Maintaining accountable documents including data entry, typing and word processing.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures.
  • Assist with the processing of lost and confiscated property.
  • Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
