Education:

  • Community College Diploma in an administrative fiel

Experience:

  • 2 years of administrative experience in a professional office setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Knowledge of general office procedures including records management systems
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to establish effective routines for excellent communication with all members of the team to maximize productivity

  • Self-motivated multi-tasker with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

The Administrative Research Assistant supports the administration of physical and electronic resources for the Faculty or Division or Department. The incumbent may be responsible for administering key requisitions, office assignments, room bookings, office furniture and moving, supply ordering, phone set up and changes, phone directory, internal mailing lists, mail and report distribution and website content maintenance. The Administrative Research Assistant supports the faculty member leading a project on brain health implementation and will play a crucial role in supporting the team by providing adminstrative assistance and conducting research tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on a variety of brain health related topics
  • Organize and maintain research materials, databases, and files
  • Maintaining emails, scheduling appointments and coordinate meetings
  • Preparation of presentations
  • Updates to Wikipedia, CCV online, CV and Biosketches
  • Dictation transcription (manually or with online transcription services)
  • Typing of manuscripts and uploading to various journal sites
  • Maintaining and uploading of award nominations
  • Conference registrations and travel arrangements
  • Expense claim processing
  • Membership, organization and journal reviews

Qualifications
