Salary: £23,700 with progression to £25,138 per annum (pro rata)

The Role
This is an opportunity to join the Professional Services Team in the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences. You will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective running of degree programmes within the school.

This is a part time role at 18.5 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities To work as part of a team providing a comprehensive administrative service for the Learning and Teaching functions of the school Provide, check and update student and education-related data and documentation using University systems Co-ordinate and provide administrative support for designated committees, including meeting organisation, dissemination of documents and minute-taking Responsible for the completion of tasks that are unique to the discipline or programme for example, examinations and workshop coordination To work flexibly and develop a good working knowledge of relevant administrative systems To carry out other duties, as defined by line manager, which assist to the successful achievement of the School’s vision and strategy

Ability to prioritise own work and remain calm under pressure to manage competing deadlines, and ensures that all activities are completed on time
Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing
Good IT skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Able to work on own initiative and as a member of a team and interact well with staff at all levels
Good attention to detail
Good organisational skills with ability to solve problems

Experience of providing a professional, customer-focused administrative service
Experience of committee servicing and minute writing
