The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences. People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the disciplinary approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed.
The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on social, economic, political and educational issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society. The FHSE offers six Bachelor and twenty Master degrees and a doctoral school providing students with the necessary knowledge and high-qualified skills to succeed in their future career.
The Faculty is looking for an Administrator with a financial and grant focus.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will join the administrative team of the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning. In support of the researchers, the postholder coordinates the administrative, financial and reporting of projects externally funded as national and international funding agencies and cooperation partners. This includes activities such as:
- Specialized support for research administration activities on a daily basis
- Administering finance activities by performing standard accounting, controlling tasks and reporting tasks
- Administering complete processes for purchase orders, follow-up and verifying invoices, travel expenses, service contract follow-up, external expert, etc.
- Monitoring budgets, tracking, and forecasting expenses
- Point of contact for finance and grant related matters for the Department
- Liaise with the Faculty finance team
- Understanding funding body specific reporting requirements and drafting financial reports within standard procedures
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the development of financial processes and budget follow-up
