About the School:
Beautiful school in Hackney in a welcoming social community. Health and wellbeing are extremely important to them and opportunities are created regularly to socialise together. The school also offers good development opportunities for all staff. The school provides pastoral responsibilities to staff and a range of CPD sessions.

Contract/Position Details:

  • Start date - ASAP
  • Full time on-going - End of academic year
  • Minimum end of academic year however likely to be extended for the right candidate
  • Temporary
  • Hours - 8am to 4pm

Main responsibilities required for this role:

  • Manage the school’s waiting lists and all communication with potential parents in accordance with the admissions policy
  • Update school database with all relevant data in preparation for school census returns
  • Respond to all admission enquiries, advising new and prospective students and parents of school procedures and admissions criteria
  • Arrange, manage and participate in school open events including promotion within local schools
  • Produce proof of address and proof of on roll letters as required
  • Provide all staff with information on new arrivals
  • Prepare submissions for and represent appeals meetings on behalf of the school

To be eligible for this role, the potential Admissions Officer must:

  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
  • Previous experience dealing with Admissions in schools
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail are critical
  • Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Hold the right to work/eligibility in the UK
  • DBS certificates
  • Provide specific references
