Description:

Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
As an Admissions Officer you will provide a highly professional standard of customer service to all hospital clientele and caregivers in the provision of admitting patients according to Admission Department work instructions.

The Position

  • Interact in a positive, professional and respectful manner.
  • Ensure the customer’s opinions are sought out and acknowledged.
  • Be proactive in alleviating the customer’s concerns.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the patients pre-admission episode including the following:
  • Communicate any area of impact to the relevant operational area within the hospital.
  • Liaise with theatre regarding theatre lists.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is allocated to the relevant operational area in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the patient’s admission to the hospital.
  • Facilitate all aspects of booking cancellations.
  • Meet department phone and booking KPI’s as required.

You will have an understanding of and ability to apply occupational health and safety principles to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace, a polite phone manner and clear concise written & verbal communication. Well-developed interpersonal skills, efficient keyboard/data entry skills and the ability take quick action to identify and resolve problems will be essential to this role.
To succeed you will have a demonstrated commitment to customer service and have the ability to prioritise and multitask to achieve desired results.

  • Salary: $64,355- $69,469 (pro-rata for part time) plus 11% superannuation
  • A permanent Part Time position, working 30 hours a fortnight
