Description:

We are offering a role in the higher education industry for an Admissions Representative, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Working in a team environment, the role involves contributing to the daily and weekly production targets of the Admissions & Records Operations department. The role also extends to non-production activities that support the department’s goals, including continuous improvement, problem-solving, escalations-handling, quality assurance, training, and knowledge management.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute regularly to production to ensure the maintenance of daily and weekly target goals for the department.
  • Maintain high-quality production in accordance with established target goals.
  • Develop a broad understanding of key workflows across the Admissions & Records Operations department.
  • Cross-train on specific workflows outside the primary functional area of expertise as needed.
  • Respond to escalations and resolve individual applicant and learner experience issues while identifying and addressing systematic problems.
  • Support training needs within the department as a subject matter/content expert or trainer, in partnership with other key stakeholders within and outside of Admissions & Records Operations.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Admissions & Records Operations, Enrollment Service, Advising, the Registrar’s Office, and other departments to identify and resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, stabilize production, and optimize the applicant, learner, and staff experience.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities intended to allow for the systematic identification and resolution of process defects as well as the improvement of individual performance.
  • Help maintain key knowledge management systems and content, including job aids for Admissions & Records Operations staff and process-related documentation for partner teams.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with prospective students and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel to manage correspondence, schedule appointments, and analyze data.
  • Demonstrated ability in data entry and data analysis to maintain accurate student records and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities to evaluate and improve admissions processes and policies.
  • Experience in providing administrative assistance, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and maintaining files.
  • Expertise in project management to plan, execute, and oversee admissions-related projects.
  • Familiarity with document management and electronic document management systems for efficient handling of student records and other documentation.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment in the higher education industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and adhere to ethical standards.
