Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Adult Facilitator is responsible for delivering justice-related programs and services to adults within ACCEC’s initiatives. This role involves providing support, guidance, and advocacy to adult clients, ensuring they have access to legal services and resources. The Adult Facilitator will also assist in implementing the Sankofa Justice Initiative (SJI) for adults and contribute to the overall success of ACCEC’s Access to Justice program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in social work, law, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with adult clients in the legal or social services field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of issues facing adult clients in the justice system.

Responsibilities:

Program Implementation:

  • Deliver justice-related programs and services to adult clients as part of ACCEC’s Access to Justice program.
  • Assist in implementing the Sankofa Justice Initiative for adults, including facilitating healing circles and providing restorative justice services.

Client Support:

  • Provide support and guidance to adult clients navigating the justice system.
  • Facilitate access to legal services, resources, and referrals for clients.

Advocacy:

  • Advocate for the rights and needs of adult clients, including representing their interests in relevant forums and meetings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing advocacy strategies for adult justice-related issues.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including legal organizations, government agencies, and community groups.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance access to justice for adult clients
